Parenting - Kianda School

From the Parenting Office

The school believes in working closely with the parents in the formation of their daughters and in building better relationships between them. Courses and seminars are organized by experienced parents and family educators in order to help parents/guardians to do this. These courses and seminars cover current societal issues particularly around the family. School events also give parents and daughters this opportunity.

Some of the courses offered to the parents are:

Married Love – this course helps married couples recognize the current situation their married life is in and improve as people, spouses and parents and raise the quality of their “Married Love”.

First Steps is aimed at young parents who are expecting or have children less than 4 years. This course helps them discover their children’s great potential, how to stimulate their learning and the right time to do so. It allows parents to discover how wonderful parenthood is and provides essential tools in bringing up their children.

First Letters – this course covers the development of children who are 4-8 years old, the age when their developing personality begins to come out. The emphasis is thus on tailoring their education and setting goals for each stage of the child’s development.

Adolescence – Parents analyze the causes and effects of the changes their teenage boys and girls go through. They also study the most appropriate guidelines for maintaining a strong, sensible relationship with their children without limiting their natural discovery of the world around them.
